The Positive African Image Institute works to protect the standing, image and dignity of African people worldwide by using the power of the media (the Internet) to fight racism, imperialism and the defamation of African people as well as all people.

I telephoned the DA’s office today and strongly urged justice for young Jason. I also urged her to do the job she is being paid to do- and to bring charges of hate and assault against Jason’s attackers.

And let’s keep it real - if President Obama and his staff does not get involved in this case, which mirrors numerous other cases around the country, then what is he good for? President Obama needs to dispatch his Attorney General and more onto Jason’s situation ASAP.

YAC (Youth Advisory Committee) is part of the YWCA Racial Justice Program in Tucson, Arizona. We are a group of youth activists who come together to spread awareness about racism and discrimination, and work to eliminate different forms of oppression. YAC believes that the charges against Jason are biased and unjust, and that everyone has the right to personal safety. We ask the Office of the District Attorney to review all charges in this case in a fair and unbiased manner.
